Scammers are contacting individuals through various methods. Victims receive a screenshot as proof of payment from “Epos Agent”, and are asked to pay a “linking fee” to receive the payment in their bank account.

How to Identify a Scam

Ask you for immediate payment, request personal information via unsolicited contact and offer unrealistic deals. We urge the public to be cautious of any communication claiming to be from “EPOS Banking Institution” that seems suspicious or uses tactics listed above.

If you are contacted by someone claiming to represent “EPOS Banking Institution” and suspect a scam, do not provide any personal information or engage in financial transactions. We recommend:

  • Ending communication immediately
